Likewise, Epson places great emphasis on the choice of ink in which the ribbon is soaked: quality of print out, even distribution of colour along the length of the ribbon and predection of the print head pins from mechanical strain and chemical pollution are the important criteria which influence quality and perfect design. Over and above the design, Epson places great importance on quality assurance during the production process. In doing so, Epson guarantees excellent product properties at all times and an optimum harmonisation with the main product - the Epson printer.

WXR ribbon is dedicated to applications requiring a perfect printing quality and excellent mechanical resistances. The ink provides excellent print quality of all types of barcodes, very small text, large characters, and logos.
The ribbon structure allows printing on many kinds of synthetics (PVC, PET, PE, PP), on various matte and high gloss coated papers and even on some uncoated papers. The printed image offers an excellent smudge and scratch resistance, and good heat resistance, up to 180¾C (356¾F). Those characteristics remain at speeds up to 250mm/s (10 ips), and with 200, 300 and 600 DPI printheads, making this ribbon perfectly suited to the labeling market, and allowing its use in the flexible packaging printing market. WXR features Wasp’s outstanding backcoat technology ensuring excellent printhead protection, no clogging, and prevents static buildup. |
