Description
The new Intel® Ethernet Server Adapter I350 family builds on Intel’s history of excellence in Ethernet products. Intel continues its market leadership with this new generation of PCIe* GbE network adapters. Built with the bridgeless Intel® Ethernet Controller I350, these adapters represent the next step in the Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) networking evolution for the enterprise and data center by introducing new levels of performance through industry-leading enhancements for both virtualized and iSCSI Unified Networking environments. This new family of adapters also includes new power management technologies such as Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) and DMA Coalescing (DMAC).
iWARP/RDMA
iWARP delivers converged, low-latency fabric services to data centers through Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) over Ethernet. The key iWARP components that deliver low-latency are Kernel Bypass, Direct Data Placement, and Transport Acceleration.

PCI-SIG* SR-IOV Capable
Single-Root I/O Virtualization (SR-IOV) involves natively (directly) sharing a single I/O resource between multiple virtual machines. SR-IOV provides a mechanism by which a Single Root Function (for example a single Ethernet Port) can appear to be multiple separate physical devices.

Intel® Ethernet Power Management
Intel® Ethernet Power Management Technology provides solutions to common power management approaches by reducing idle power, reducing capacity and power as a function of demand, operating at maximum energy efficiency whenever possible, and enabling functionality only when needed.

Flexible Port Partitioning
Flexible Port Partitioning (FPP) technology utilizes industry standard PCI SIG SR-IOV to efficiently divide your physical Ethernet device into multiple virtual devices, providing Quality of Service by ensuring each process is assigned to a Virtual Function and is provided a fair share of the bandwidth.

Virtual Machine Device Queues (VMDq)
Virtual Machine Device Queues (VMDq) is a technology designed to offload some of the switching done in the VMM (Virtual Machine Monitor) to networking hardware specifically designed for this function. VMDq drastically reduces overhead associated with I/O switching in the VMM which greatly improves throughput and overall system performance
The ST1000SPEXD4 PCI Express Dual-Port Gigabit Network Card lets you add two gigabit Ethernet ports to a client, server or workstation through a single PCIe slot. Each port provides 10/100/1000 Mbps capable Ethernet and is fully compatible with IEEE 802.3/u/ab standards.

Suitable for any standard PCI Express-enabled system, the 2-port Ethernet card supports full-duplex flow control for maximum data transfer speeds of up to 2000 Mbps - an ideal 2-port NIC for setting up dual-homed, or multi-homed host configurations providing added security to corporate networks.

The dual-port server adapter is compliant with the PCIe 2.0 standard and features support for Jumbo Frames and 802.1q VLAN tagging as well as Wake on LAN (WoL). The adapter includes an optional low-profile / half-height bracket that can be used for installation into a standard or small form-factor computer chassis.

The StarTech.com Advantage
- Protect critical networked systems with a redundant and independent Gigabit port
- Optimize network traffic with support for advanced features such as Jumbo Frames and VLAN tagging
- Maximize the networking efficiency of your virtualized server, with dedicated ports
The Most Compact and Cost Effective 2-port Ethernet Controller in the Market
With the AOC-SGP-i2, Supermicro has extended the boundaries of Ethernet technology to create the most compact, cost
effective, and feature-packed 2-port Ethernet controller in the market, allowing it to fit easily into the tightest high-density
server add-on card locations. With ultra-small footprint and rich of power management technology feature set, the AOCSGP-i2 represents the next step in the Gigabit Ethernet networking evolution for enterprise and data center environments
iWARP/RDMA
iWARP delivers converged, low-latency fabric services to data centers through Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) over Ethernet. The key iWARP components that deliver low-latency are Kernel Bypass, Direct Data Placement, and Transport Acceleration.

Intel® Data Direct I/O Technology
Intel® Data Direct I/O Technology is a platform technology that improves I/O data processing efficiency for data delivery and data consumption from I/O devices. With Intel DDIO, Intel® Server Adapters and controllers talk directly to the processor cache without a detour via system memory, reducing latency, increasing system I/O bandwidth, and reducing power consumption.
